The ESDT believes that the drinks market is a continuum which starts with "HOT" beverage products, goes through the more traditional Soft Drinks, Fruit Juices and Waters and now encompasses the "No" and "Very Low" alcohol beers and wine/fruit juice blends as well as the higher alcohol versions of these and traditional beers, ciders, wines and spirits.

We feel very strongly that the technology base of the Drinks Industry has been gradually eroded, resulting in the diminished facilities, technical centres and numbers of trained technologists that exist today compared to 20 years ago.
